Spreading just a bit of holiday cheer to our frontline health care workers, our Feeding the Frontlines initiative will share some welcome meals thanks to help from our generous sponsors.

As Covid cases continue to rise across the state, once again we’ve paired with some of our Michigan’s Best family of restaurants, along with these amazing community sponsors to provide a welcome food hug for our frontline health care workers on Monday December 14. Our Michigan’s Best restaurant partners are thrilled to be able to not just help feed essential workers with some of the best food in Michigan, but to also generate some much needed take-out business during these tough times.

This is the fourth time that MLive has worked on feeding the frontlines together with our sponsors. In May, over 2,000 meals were provided for National Nurses Day, and throughout July, health care workers in Detroit and Grand Rapids were fed with the help of Founders Brewing Company. We also did a special Thanksgiving meal drop off in November.

“This was one of those win-win-win scenarios that we couldn’t be more excited about,” said Jamie Dionne, vice president of sales at MLive Media Group. “Michigan’s Best and our amazing partners have been looking for ways to pay it forward to the front line healthcare workers in our state, and Michigan’s Best cares deeply about our local community restaurants. This project married both of those things together in a way that serves our business partners, our community restaurants and our healthcare heroes.”
